TRADECOACH REPORT FOR AAPL 3/5/2010

This is the current Pitbull Investor 'Trade Coach" Report usually only available to TradeCoach subscribers:

Friday we broke out to a new high in my favorite stock AAPL. Those who have been with me since last March when I advised buying long term leaps when it was at $87 have shown significant profits but if you didn't pick up some on every pullback as I advised, it is now time to buy the new breakout.

Don't listen to all of the nay-sayers about the chances of the new IPad's success or lack thereof. This is to my mind the best run company in the market and they don't do things that aren't going to make them or you a ton of money.

With $43 per share in cash they have defied the pundits ever since the first iPod came out which is now ubiquitous with over 300 million sold and just surpassing their 1 billionth song download. Last quarter they sold 23 million alone with one of the highest ratios of sales to cost in the business.
Remember when Apple was on death's door and needed an investment from Microsoft to survive? Well, a lot's changed since then. In May 2000, Apple's market capitalization was $17 billion. Today it's $197 billion(up 30 Bil since Nov). Meanwhile, Microsoft was around $356 billion in May 2000. Today it's around $250 billion. How much longer until Apple becomes the most valuable computing company in the world?  It should happen before the end of the year.

The iPhone is untouched in its market place selling 8.7 million units last quarter up 33% from the previous quarter with itunes sales and the ATT subscription back end that no other phone manufacturer has which make its profits go up exponentially even if they never sold another unit.

The same is about to happen to the IPad. People don't have a clue as to what its future use will be in the home, but pre-order interest has topped original iPhone numbers and those pre-orders will not be entered until next Friday. This is going to be a game changer and in my opinion will sell in greater numbers than the iPhone..not for its 3G connectivity, but for wifi use around the home as a multipurpose device that can be passed around and  shared by the whole family for reading, movies, web surfing and games with no additional charges. Yes, there will be some people who carry it around back and forth to work and need the ATT connection, but it really will be secondary market for the device.

So with limited funds how do we capitalize on the potential

Here is the chart:

Apple stock is expensive, as are the options, but you get what you pay for in terms of growth. At $220 it's too expensive for most to accumulate much of it. Even the options at the money will cost you $25 or so.

I am still holding my VAA110122C00210000 2011 210 CALL
and you can buy it for about what I paid back in January, but I also added to it in late February when APPL dipped back down towards support as I predicted..

If you didn't get in NOW IS THE TIME and if the in the money LEAP at about $30 is too rich, go ahead and get yourself some way out of the money LEAPs like the
AAPL Jan 2011 280.000 call (OPR: VQE110122C00280000) at around $7.00.

If the stock performs the way I expect, you will be able to cash out by September and buy a new in the money LEAP for cash you made on your investment.  The equivelent option bought last March at $6 is now selling for $93 (and that is if you didn't roll the options when deltas reached .92... If you did that you are sitting on about 6 times that gain).

This is a case of now buying high to go higher and I don't believe there is much time left to get on this train.  There will be no  sales by the end of the quarter to add to the cash flow because first deliveries of the iPad are due out after the end of the month, but if we have a pullback again it will be time to dip back in for more.
